Overview

Keurti is a classifieds platform for the Republic of Congo, similar in concept to Avito or Leboncoin. People use it to buy and sell real estate, vehicles, electronics and other items, find jobs, and discover restaurants with delivery.

Challenge

Most classifieds sites are not built for the local market: slow on low-end phones, hard to use with prepaid mobile data, and not adapted to how people actually communicate — mostly by phone and WhatsApp.

Solution

I built a fast, mobile-first web platform on WordPress with a custom React/Vite frontend, plus native mobile apps with Flutter. Sellers can list an item in a few steps, and buyers can contact them directly.

My contribution

I designed and built the whole product myself: the WordPress and React/Vite website, the Flutter mobile apps for Android and iOS, the Firebase integration, the listing and category system, and the ongoing maintenance.

Key features
  • Categories for real estate, vehicles, jobs, restaurants with delivery, electronics and services
  • Direct contact between buyers and sellers
  • A dashboard for managing your own listings and favorites
  • A blog with SEO-focused articles
  • A native Android app, published on Google Play
How it was built

I built the web platform first, then added the Flutter mobile apps once the marketplace had real listings and users.

Where it stands today

Keurti is live today, with real listings across several categories. The Android app is published on Google Play. The iOS version is complete but not published yet — I do not have a payment method that Apple currently accepts for a Developer account from the Congo.
